Church Leadership Teams

Principles can travel … Practices must evolve!

We are living in an age of incredible opportunity with technology and information accessibility so readily available to us. However far too often we see “other leaders success” and try to “copy and paste” them into our own situation hoping for the same mega results, only to be disappointed and disillusioned in the process.

We have had the tremendous privilege of leading churches through seasons of growth and have learned through experience that “Principles can travel … Practices must evolve!”

For a number of years now, we have been meeting with church leaders and teams to help review and revitalise the local church situations. “Encouragement never goes out of fashion” and we are available to meet with teams, not to tell them “how” but to walk with them for a season as sounding boards, and to help shape destiny and to facilitate greater fruitfulness.

Mentoring

In my early years as a pastor I soon became very much aware of the fact that I needed to do more than to see people converted to Christ and to be cared for in a loving church family. I have always held the view that the main gathering on a Sunday should contain significant preaching/teaching as well as hosting the presence of the Holy Spirit. However it soon became obvious that in order to reach their full identity as mature sons and daughters of God many people needed more focussed and intentional input than listening to a sermon.

Discipleship by its very nature is a process of becoming. In fact the Greek word “mathetes” translates into English as “learner”. Jesus took His disciples on a journey of discovery by both declaring and demonstrating the Kingdom of God. We see mentoring as part of that process of making disciples. It is coming alongside an individual, or small group, with focussed input with regard to both character and competence.

To that end we produced a small book to help anyone to begin the journey of coaching and mentoring. The book is simply a “first steps” toolbox to give insight and some tools that are helpful and easy to use.

If you would like to know more about mentoring, or even feel you would benefit from being mentored yourself, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via our Contact page.

Preaching & Teaching

Both Geoff and Jane have many years of experience in preaching and teaching from the Word of God. They have travelled extensively and have spoken at conferences in the UK, USA, Canada, Macedonia, Nigeria, India and the Philippines. They carry a prophetic insight into the Word of God and convey truth in a way that brings revelation, inspiration and impartation to the hearers.

Some key teachings that bring transformation include such topics as:-

Evangelism

Living with a “missional” perspective creates the environment in which evangelism can operate successfully. Evangelism has the sharp focus of soul winning and ingathering of the harvest. Both Geoff and Jane carry a strong anointing as evangelists and would be honoured to work with a church to develop effective evangelism strategies and programmes.

We have been involved in evangelism and church planting since 1983 and have seen many lives totally transformed with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We have also led schools of evangelism that have equipped Christians across the denominational spectrum. Several of our students are now currently active in fruitful full time ministries both at home and overseas.

Our link with Marilyn Harry of Harvest Time World Missions continues as we are also currently involved with her great “Love Wales” vision to see true revival return once again throughout the principality of Wales.

Living Stones Ministries can assist in equipping churches to become effective in soul winning. We can offer training days to prepare a church for outreach events and we can also provide teams to work alongside the church at these special events.

Revival

Although some would claim that revival is a sovereign act of God, we at Living Stones Ministries believe that the church can do much to create the environment for such an occurrence. We passionately believe that this environment is created when the church truly fulfills both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

We are committed to working together with others in the Body of Christ to create such an environment. The tern “Revival” can mean many different things to different people. At Living Stones Ministries we are comfortable with the definition of revival that was developed during the Brownsville Revival of the mid 1990’s.

Revival is a season of unusual divine visitation resulting in deep repentance, supernatural renewal, and sweeping reformation in the Church, along with the radical conversion of sinners in the world, often producing moral, social, and even economic change in the local or national communities.

We believe this agrees with the thrust of 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 where God gives a clear promise of revival and healing of the land following a deep move of the Spirit within the church that leads to repentance and renewal.

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.15 My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

We are passionate to build relational links with others who are prayerfully seeking to see revival impact the United Kingdom once again. If that is you, then please do contact us and we can walk this exciting journey together.
